We Love Vaginas!

The vagina monologues are coming up right around the corner on February 19th, so save the date! What are the vagina monologues, you ask? They are a series of narratives written by Eve Ensler written in order to not only celebrate the vagina, but also to stop violence against women and to bring attention to the fact that it does happen. We do them every year, and have PC-V week to provide education about violence against women. You ask, “But why would I want to go see a bunch of people talking about vaginas? That sounds gross!” Well actually, they are pretty fantastic pieces of literature. Plus you likely are friends with someone who is performing in them. I will be performing one in a British accent, so get stoked for that at least! The other beautiful ladies who will be acting are Schay Goss, Katelyn Nutter, Carly Wicklund, Savannah Truesdale, Amy Green, Elizabeth Tinga, Maggie Nash, Karee Keefer, Callie Murr, Alison Recknagel, Jane Bednarz, Anna Burch, Sara Naeseth, Taylor Randall, Anna George, Beth Olker, Elizabeth West, Myra Shanks, Erin Boland, L.T., and Sally Besuden. So chances are you at least know one of us right? And even if you don’t, you should still come and support our cause, because it really is a great one. Some monologues are funny (like mine) and others are heart wrenchingly sad. All are worthwhile and meaningful. So remember FEBRUARY 19th and come see the vagina monologues!!
